Distinguished qualitative initiatives at the College of Arts and Sciences in Majardah, coinciding with the Ajaweed Ramadan initiatives launched by the Asir Development Authority

The College of Sciences and Arts in Majardah, thank God, has completed the implementation of a number of initiatives organized by the college, starting from the holy month of Ramadan. The college has organized about (9) various initiatives that address all levels, individuals and beneficiaries. The initiatives have achieved great demand and success and a very high satisfaction rate. The initiatives varied between developing the personal, social, professional and technical aspects of the participants, with the aim of providing a comprehensive experience for all aspects that help the development of the individual and society. Coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan, the “Your Ramadan is Spiritual and Translation” initiative was presented by the College’s English Department. The initiative began on 9/6/1444 AH and ended on 9/18/1444 AH, that is, it lasted for (12) days. The aim of the initiative was to document heritage-related terms from Arabic to English to help non-Arabic-speaking tourists and visitors understand the names of historical exhibits and heritage terminology for the contents of the museum with ease and ease. without Arabic. The My Full Library initiative was also presented. The initiative began on 08/28/1444 AH and ends on 09/12/1444 AH, i.e. it lasted for (20) days. The aim of the initiative was to give scientifically to students and the community by providing digital references related to the curricula, opening the library, and allowing male visitors to visit the library, benefit from its services, and read books there for two hours per week. And there is an initiative, so let the competitors compete. The initiative started on 08/29/1444 AH and ends on 09/17/1444 AH, that is, it lasted for (5) days. The aim of the initiative was to give with fidelity. It included various activities, including a day for visiting children with autism, a day for cleaning the college chapel, a day for Ramadan stories and stories, a day for organizing a session in the mosque for healthy fasting, and a competition day for memorizing the Qur’an and the hadiths of the Prophet, and honoring the winners. The number of participants in each event varied (113 participants) from the activities of the initiative, with great interest in achieving the goal of learning, general education, and community service. On the other hand, there was an initiative to revitalize the pages of the book, and the graduate writer, Wafaa Muhammad Salem, was the leader of the initiative. The initiative began on 8/20/1444 AH and ended on 09/20/1444 AH, that is, it lasted for (1) month. (240) female participants and 85 female volunteers from the college participated in the initiative. The aim of the initiative was to spread awareness and culture of reading. The Programmers Without Borders initiative was also presented by the Department of Computer Science. The initiative started on 09/10/1444 AH and ended on 09/17/1444 AH. (48) participants participated in the initiative. This initiative aimed to teach the basics of programming in an interesting and fun way and remove ambiguity about programming and its languages. It also aims to nurture, encourage and develop programming skills and master algorithms to solve various problems, teach the basics of new programming languages and logical thinking to solve programming problems, build leading digital capabilities and raise the college’s ranking in the field of technology. The initiative is characterized by the fact that it suits the students' need for different programming languages to design their graduation projects. It helps the students to learn different programming languages to participate in local and international competitions. It helps the graduates to master different programming languages to provide opportunities in the labor market. One of the advantages of the initiative is the graduation of female and male students who are distinguished in programming in their different languages, and who are able to solve programming problems. Among the important initiatives it presented is the labor market skills initiative. The initiative started on 09-08-1444 AH and ended on 09-19-1444 AH, i.e. for a period of (12) days. (637) participants participated in the initiative. The aim of this initiative is to introduce individuals to the English language, communication and professional skills they need to function successfully in a work environment. The course targeted people who are currently working, as well as those who have not yet worked. And there is the Basics of Decoration initiative, presented by the talented graduate in interior design, Taif Ali Al-Omari. The initiative began on 09/14/1444 AH and ended on 09/15/1444 AH, that is, for a period of (two days). (11) male and female participants participated in the initiative. The aim of this course is to strengthen the relations between the building and the educational educational process by providing internal spaces with high flexibility that are commensurate with various activities and uses and be a motive for the development of education and a catalyst for gaining knowledge and education. To make the most of every space to fully fulfill the wishes and requirements of the residents of the house while providing security, comfort and beauty. As for the “Ataa and Smile” initiative, Ms. Hanan Al-Barqi from the e-learning unit was the leader of the initiative. It began on 09/11/1444 AH and ended on 09/20 1444 AH, that is, for a period of (10) days. The aim of this initiative is to broaden the horizons of students to build and develop a cohesive society, to create a kind of trust, love, and interdependence among its members, to spread the culture of giving and to enhance its value among female students. Indulging in charitable work, sacrifice, helping the vulnerable, feeling the pleasure of giving, introducing joy and happiness to our expatriate workers and workers inside the governorate for example (General Hospital, College) by providing them with Eid clothing, fasting breakfast in the month of goodness, increasing the energies of the individual and the nation and sharpening Inspiration, defining a person with his giving and the continuous good deeds he does. Finally, a self-development course was presented by Ms. Sarah Al-Amari from Information Technology. (23) beneficiaries participated in the initiative. The aim of this course is to help individuals develop themselves personally, professionally and socially.
           The previous initiatives represent the fruit of the efforts of the College of Arts and Sciences to excel in community service and to link community members, graduates, students and faculty members with a single service and community educational system that fulfills the aspirations and desires of the participants and is consistent with achieving the goals of Vision 2030 in building national cadres capable of achieving sustainable growth and progress in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
