The Unit of Administrative and Humanities Specializations originated alongside the English Language Department at the time the College of Science and Arts in Al-Majardah—a recently established institution within King Khalid University—was founded. The university opened its doors to female students during the first semester of the 1433–1434 AH academic year. Upon its inception, the college comprised three academic departments: Mathematics, Computer Science, and English Language; it is located in the Al-Majardah Governorate.
As the college evolved and underwent academic and organizational restructuring—transitioning into an applied college—its academic departments were reorganized to align with the college's new nature and strategic direction. In 1444 AH, the English Language Department was transformed into the Unit of Administrative and Humanities Specializations. This unit is tasked with overseeing specializations in the administrative and humanities fields, supporting the educational process, and helping the college achieve its goal of offering applied academic programs that meet labor market needs.
The unit continues to play a vital role in enhancing the educational process and the quality of academic programs. It keeps pace with developments in the administrative and humanities sectors and contributes to preparing qualified professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the labor market and participate in the nation's development.

Message:
The mission of the English Department of the College of Arts and Sciences in Al Majarda is to help students improve their English language skills as well as develop their cognitive abilities. The aim of this English language program is to provide students with many opportunities to regularly practice academic reading, vocabulary, oral communication, grammatical structures and writing. The overall goal of the Department of English is to help these students develop the language skills they will need to succeed in an English-speaking environment or to pursue careers in which English is the dominant language of instruction and communication.
Goals:
1. Teach students how to read critically, write clearly, think critically, and speak correctly about literature and language in English.
2. Helping students improve their critical thinking and academic skills in reading and writing.
3. Prepare students to write multi-paragraph articles at the intermediate-high level by providing a step-by-step developmental approach to paragraph writing.
4. Promote students and encourage them to participate in community and extracurricular services
