The Applied College in Al-Majardah organized a reception for new female students for the academic year 1448 AH. This initiative reflects the College's commitment to preparing students for a successful university start and familiarizing them with the academic environment, services, and programs available, thereby fostering their integration into university life and supporting their academic journey from the outset.
The College’s Student Activities unit played a key role in organizing and preparing for the event through advance coordination, managing student reception and guidance, and ensuring the smooth and organized flow of the program segments. They also focused on enhancing interaction and motivation, encouraging students to participate in university activities and programs.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Royal Anthem. The College’s CEO, Dr. Maha Mohammed Al-Shehri, then delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of commitment, initiative, and making the most of available educational opportunities and services to build a proactive and distinguished university persona.
The gathering included several introductory and advisory sessions covering academic aspects and student services. Dr. Fatima Dafallah Al-Hassan, Head of the Engineering and Technical Specializations Unit, introduced the Statistical Analysis and Data Management program and the Information Systems program, while also outlining the academic support pathways available to students.
Additionally, Dr. Manahil Omar Hussein, the Academic Advising Supervisor, offered advice and guidance to help students plan their studies, organize their academic paths, and achieve their educational goals.
Ms. ... also addressed... Ms. Hanan Al-Qarni, Supervisor of the Guidance and Counseling Unit, outlined the services provided by the unit, detailing areas of support, assistance, and psychological and social counseling, as well as explaining the financial aid and subsidies available in accordance with approved regulations and procedures.
Regarding awareness-raising, Ms. Reem Al-Talbi presented a session on health and safety, highlighting key guidelines that foster students' awareness of healthy and safe practices within the university environment.
Ms. Zahra Al-Rabie also reviewed the electronic and technical services and university systems that assist students in managing their studies, utilizing digital services, and communicating with the college.
The event concluded with messages of guidance and encouragement, emphasizing the importance of regular attendance, initiative, and active participation in university activities and programs, as well as making the most of the various services and opportunities offered by the college.
The event helped introduce new students to the college’s programs, specializations, services, and regulations; fostered a sense of belonging to the college; and prepared them to transition into university life with confidence and awareness—reflecting the commitment of the Applied College in Al-Majardah to providing a supportive educational environment that fosters success and excellence.
