The origin of the Department of Computer Sciences is back to the establishment of the College of Science and Arts in Majardah, where it is one of the educational institutions of modern origin, King Khalid University opened its doors to study and receive its students for the first semester of the academic year 1433-1434 AH. It includes three scientific departments (Mathematics Department, Computer Science Department, and English Language Department).

 

Vision, Message and Goals

 

Vision:

To seek a pioneering role with regional depth, global dimension, knowledge and research excellence, and societal creativity.

Message:

Providing an academic environment with the best quality in education, research excellence, and optimal use of knowledge technologies to prepare scientific and professional cadres in science, literature, leadership and community service.

Goals:

1. Develop constructive knowledge that achieves the dreams of the homeland and contributes to supporting general educational goals that preserve Sharia and the principles of religion.

2. Providing a creative learning environment for students and supporting communication with alumni, community institutions, and regional and international research centers.

3. Reaching a distinguished scientific, research and service level.

4. Achieving comprehensive quality standards and obtaining program accreditation in accordance with local and international approved standards.

5. Activation and dissemination of technology for the knowledge society.

6. Create the appropriate academic environment and develop the knowledge and professional capabilities of the faculty members to attract talent and preserve the distinguished.
