Analysis and language in the service of health
The College of Applied Sciences Club in Al-Majardah, in cooperation with the Deputy Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students, organized a training program entitled “Analysis and Language in the Service of Health” on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10 am to 12 pm, at the Al-Majardah Health Center. The program targeted more than 50 female students from the mathematics and English majors, where the students conducted medical examinations for their colleagues, including sugar levels, blood pressure, hemoglobin, and body mass index. The mathematics students analyzed the results using the SPSS program to study the relationship between high sugar and blood pressure, where the results showed a strong direct relationship between the two conditions. After the analysis, the English students translated the results and medical reports into English using accurate terminology. The program contributed to developing the students’ skills in statistical analysis and medical translation, and linking academic knowledge with practical application to serve health issues.
