An initiative to employ the projects of the Department of Computer Science to serve the community at the Faculty of Science and Arts in Majardah


 The initiative to employ the projects of the Department of Computer Science to serve the community at the College of Science and Arts in Majardah stems from the college’s keenness to achieve the highest degree of compatibility between the skills of graduates and the requirements of the labor market by developing study plans for the college’s programs, developing laboratories and workshops, developing graduation projects, encouraging innovation and creative thinking,  Achieving the requirements and standards of local and international academic accreditation.
 The initiative is also considered a representation of the objectives of Vision 2030 in higher education in the Kingdom, which emphasized the development of Saudi human cadres and arming them with labor market skills and modern technologies capable of keeping pace with all developments and changes that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is currently experiencing.
 In this regard, the College of Science and Arts in Majardah organized an introductory meeting for the projects of the Department of Computer Science in the college in cooperation with the Vice Deanship for Academic Development  and Quality at the branch of King Khalid University in Tihama under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science and Arts in Majardah, who provided all aspects of support for the initiative to employ the projects of the Department of Computer Science to serve the community.  The meeting session was moderated by the head of the e-learning unit, Ms.  Aliya Al-Qarni, on Wednesday corresponding to 1-11- 2023 AD, via the Zoom platform, at exactly eight o’clock in the evening.  The introductory meeting was coordinated and presented by the Department of Computer Science. The introductory meeting included the following topics: 1- Definition of the initiative, vision, mission, goals, reasons for choosing the initiative, implementation mechanism, tracks of the initiative and statistics for the Department of Computer Science.  2- Elements of the initiative, the Department of Computer Science represented by: the role of the head of the department, the role of supervisors of graduation projects, students and the college administration represented by: the support and coordination provided by the Dean of the College and the beneficiaries.  3- The initiative stages. 4- Recommendations.  4- A session for discussion questions.  The introductory speech began with words firmly preserved in the mind: “With knowledge, nations are built, and with knowledge, societies flourish. Our minds will illuminate the path, our determination will achieve the impossible, and our will will come with what is beautiful. We describe the present and all the future” (Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud) as an introduction by A.  .  Aliya Al-Qarni.
       On the other hand, the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr.  Fatima Dafa Allah, the goals, vision, mission, reasons for choosing the initiative, the importance of implementation, the paths of the initiative, and statistics for the Department of Computer Science, then Dr. explained.  Manahil Omar, the role of supervisors of graduation projects.  Then the role of the students of the graduation projects was with a speech from the student Randa Al-Shehri, representative of the Talented Student Application Project, then the speech of the student Aisha Al-Barqi, representative of the Amalona Application for Blood Donation .  This is followed by the speech of the beneficiaries a.  Abdul Rahman Al-Shehri, Secretary of the Youth Committee in Al-Majardah Governorate, and a.  Abd al-Rahman Murei’, Assistant General Supervisor for Technical Affairs in Tihama, then the speech of the Dean of the College of Science and Arts in Majardah d.  Maha Al-Shehri, through which she explained the challenges and recommendations and managed the discussion session that concluded the meeting
