First meet

the first meet of the computer sciences department projects with the beneficiaries

The College of Science and Arts in Majardah organized the first meeting of the projects of the Department of Computer Science in the college with the beneficiaries under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science and Arts in Majardah, coordination of the e-learning unit, the Information Technology Unit, supervisors and students of projects, the Computer Department, and a group of female students and graduate volunteers, on Monday 11-21-2022 AD in the theater College at six o'clock in the evening.

The meeting was organized under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Faleh bin Raja Allah Al-Salami, who provided all aspects of material and moral support for the initiative to employ projects of the Department of Computer Science to serve the community. Where this initiative aimed at transforming into a pioneering university, which seeks to strengthen the role of Saudi universities to focus on contributing to economic development, by launching innovative projects, transforming knowledge research into economic innovations that serve the country, supporting the university’s transformation into an innovative and creative university, attracting and nurturing creators and innovators. Male and female students, motivate pioneers to benefit from their research commercially and help them transform their ideas and research into required products and services, and help, albeit relatively, in reducing the unemployment rate in the Kingdom.

The meeting witnessed a number of events, where the attendance program was opened at six o’clock in the evening with the national anthem, then the ceremony began with verses from the Holy Qur’an, then a paragraph showing the six projects of the Department of Computer Science (smart student transportation application for iPhone devices, the educational process website, the website medical services, the talented student application for the iPhone system, the smart investor application for the iPhone system, and the tourist guide site in Majrada). The meeting also witnessed a video presentation of the speech of the President of the University, Prof. Faleh Al-Sulami, then the speech of the Head of the Department of Computer Science, Dr. Fatima Dafa Allah, then the speech of the Dean of the College of Sciences and Arts in Majardah d. Maha Al-Shehri, then the speech of the general supervisor of the Tihama branch, Dr. Ahmed Al-Shehri, followed by the honoring segment. The computer department and the head of the department were also honored for supervising the talented student of the Digital Innovation Award, then honoring the students of the projects of this meeting with the beneficiaries, honoring the media team, then honoring the organizational team, and the conclusion was by honoring the sponsors of the ceremony.

During the meeting, several applications and websites were handed over to the authorities, the most prominent of which included the smart student transportation application, the educational process follow-up website, the medical services website, the gifted student application, the smart investor application, and the tourist guide website in Majrada.

The Dean of the College, Dr. Maha Al-Shehri, confirmed that the college is always keen to achieve the highest degree of compatibility between the skills of graduates and the requirements of the labor market by developing study plans for the college’s programs, developing laboratories and workshops, developing graduation projects, encouraging innovation and creative thinking, and achieving the requirements and standards of local and international academic accreditation.

Al-Shehri added that the primary goal of the college is to prepare a graduate equipped with theoretical knowledge, practical experience and positive behaviors, and has the ability to employ them by building himself, developing his community, and adopting the philosophy of self-learning in problem-solving and lifelong learning.
